I also have a mother with AD and totally agree with you that there needs to be more awareness and support for individuals with dementia. More education for all Caregivers (families, nurses, doctors, support workers). The facility that I work in is very committed to becoming a centre of excellence in dementia care. Our program is based on using a "person centred approach" which is so vital to our clients. There is still such a huge lack of understanding on how to interact and care for individuals with dementia. It is so awesome to see there are people like you out there making a difference. Your idea's look great. I am going to try the "day clock" for my mom. I have been searching for something exactly like what you have there!
